Where to find Skippy

Skippy is one of Cyberpunk's most beloved iconic weapons — a talking smart pistol with a personality and dialogue tree.

Location

  1. Vista del Rey, Heywood. Specifically in the alley southwest of the Latin Connection bar.
  2. Look for a dead body slumped against a wall — Skippy's previous owner.
  3. Loot the body. Skippy starts talking immediately.

The choice that locks the gun's behavior

Skippy asks you to pick a firing mode. Choose carefully — this is permanent for that playthrough.

  • Stone Cold Killer — auto-aim for headshots. Lethal.
  • Puppy-Loving Pacifist — aim for legs only. Non-lethal.

After ~50 kills with the chosen mode, Skippy gets sick of you and asks for the opposite mode. Refusing locks the gun in your inventory but starts berating V via dialogue triggers.

Quest line

  • After ~3 in-game days, Skippy calls you for a return-to-owner mini quest. Doing it locks Skippy out of your inventory permanently.
  • Skip the return quest to keep the gun forever.

If stuck: if Skippy isn't in the alley, you may need to walk through the trigger zone — quick travel doesn't always spawn the body. Approach on foot.
