The Map Chamber is the spine of the main story. Each Keeper trial in order, with the puzzle solutions.

All 4 Keeper trials

The Map Chamber leads you through trials of the four ancient Keepers — Charles Rookwood, Niamh Fitzgerald, Percival Rackham, San Bakar. Each is a self-contained main quest.

Order matters (sort of)

The game gates them by level + previous quest. You can't really do them out of order.

1. Charles Rookwood's Trial

  • Found in Hogwarts Library underground.
  • Puzzle: 3 cube-rotation puzzles + a final levitation circuit.
  • Reward: Ancient Magic ability + Map Chamber access.
  • Most-missed step: the third cube has a hidden side, rotate it on Z-axis using R3 (right stick click).

2. Niamh Fitzgerald's Trial

  • Found in the Wizarding Tower in Hogwarts Valley.
  • Puzzle: Stealth section through illusion-walled corridors. Use Disillusionment.
  • Final fight: memory phantom — keep distance, dodge teleports, blast windows of opportunity.
  • Reward: Niamh's Ancient Magic + key item for Solomon's vault.

3. Percival Rackham's Trial

  • Found in Manor Cape coastal cave.
  • Puzzle: Reflection puzzle with mirror cubes. Each cube has a directional rune; align them so light hits the receiver.
  • Most-missed step: the second mirror is Z-axis-rotated. Same R3 trick as Rookwood.
  • Reward: Confringo unlock if not already learned + Rackham's Ancient Magic.

4. San Bakar's Trial

  • Found in Highlands (north of Hogsmeade Valley).
  • Puzzle: Combat-heavy — three boss-tier troll fights with environmental gating.
  • Final boss: Pensieve guardian. Stay mobile, use Glacius + Bombarda combo.
  • Reward: San Bakar's Ancient Magic + final Map Chamber piece.

After all 4

  • Triggers the climax of the Goblin storyline.
  • Major main-quest pacing — you'll be in level 25-30 territory.

If stuck: if a trial puzzle won't accept your solution, save and reload. Some puzzle pieces glitch out and a reload re-aligns them. Reported across all 4 trials.
