Best combat spell loadouts (4 sets)

You can have 16 spells equipped across 4 hotbars. Here are the loadouts that actually work.

Best combat spell loadouts

You get 4 spell hotbars with 4 spells each (16 total). Here are loadouts that have been tested through end-game combat.

Hotbar 1 — Crowd Control

  • Levioso — float enemies
  • Accio — pull them in
  • Glacius — freeze airborne or grouped enemies
  • Bombarda — AoE damage on frozen/grouped

This is your bread-and-butter — Levioso a Maledict, Accio them close, Glacius the next attacker, Bombarda the cluster.

Hotbar 2 — Burst damage

  • Diffindo — bleed stack
  • Confringo — fire damage
  • Expelliarmus — disarm + counter
  • Stupefy — stun for opener

Hotbar 3 — Stealth + utility

  • Disillusionment — invisibility
  • Petrificus Totalus — stealth one-shot
  • Lumos — attract moths / reveal
  • Revelio — find hidden

Hotbar 4 — Unforgivables (if learned)

  • Crucio — DoT
  • Imperio — control enemy temporarily
  • Avada Kedavra — instant kill (requires hex sequence first)
  • Diffindo — bleed combo

Talent points priority

  1. Stupefy Mastery (Core tree) — auto-stun on Stupefy
  2. Spell Knowledge (Core) — increases capacity
  3. Glacius Mastery (Spells tree) — slow on hit
  4. Bombarda Mastery — bigger AoE
  5. Avada Kedavra mastery — affordable cooldown reduction

If stuck: if combat feels overwhelming at level 15+, check your gear traits. Three pieces with Cooldown Reduction trait = much smoother combat.
