How to beat The Lizard — sewer + chase sequence
The Lizard fight is split. The first half is a chase, the second is a proper arena boss. The trick is recognizing which half you're in.
Half 1 — the sewer chase
- No traditional combat. Stay 20 yards behind, perfect-dodge his lunges (orange = dodge backward).
- Symbiote tendrils boost speed. Hold R2 to lean forward and close gaps when he sprints.
- The wall scampers are scripted. When he scrambles up a wall, hit jump + R2 to keep pace; the camera shows you which wall to follow.
Half 2 — the arena fight (Coney Island)
- Stay airborne when possible. His ground attacks have huge AoE.
- Web Bombard him with Web Grabber to pull him out of his shield charge.
- Parry his glowing-blue strikes (square + triangle on a perfect window). Anything else you must dodge.
- Tail swipe = roll backward, not sideways. The hitbox is conical.
- At 30% HP he goes berserk. Use Spectacular skill (full meter pop) for invincibility.
The symbiote prompt
- A scripted prompt offers you the symbiote tendril finisher — take it. It cuts the final phase short.
If stuck: if he keeps catching you in the chase, you're not pressing R2 — the sprint boost is the entire half-one mechanic.
