When does the Anti-Venom Suit unlock?
The Anti-Venom Suit unlocks automatically during Chapter 17: "The Soul of the Hunter". There is no skill-tree gate — the story grants it as part of a cutscene.
What changes from the Symbiote Suit
- Color flip. Black-and-red tendrils → white-and-silver tendrils.
- Suit Power: Anti-Venom Healing. Activate to heal teammates AND deal damage to symbiote enemies in a radius. Replaces the standard Symbiote Surge.
- Symbiote Strike is buffed — same animation, more damage and longer tendril reach.
The white-suit-only mechanic
Anti-Venom Strike disperses symbiote tendril floors instantly. Symbiote enemy fights in late-game chapters have these tendril floors all over the arena — Anti-Venom can clear them with a heavy attack, which the Symbiote Suit cannot.
Cosmetic options
Once the Anti-Venom story unlocks, you can manually toggle between Symbiote and Anti-Venom in the suit menu — both keep the upgraded skill tree.
If stuck: if the suit feels weak immediately after unlocking, you haven't put points into the Anti-Venom Strike node — it's a new leaf in the Symbiote skill tree, separate from the original.
