How to finish Stray in under 2 hours

Can't Cat-ch Me is the speedrun trophy. 2 hours, no NG+ required, and dying does not reset the timer — only continuous play time counts.

Route summary

  1. First playthrough is normal — finish the game once for unlocks. Then chapter-select.
  2. Use chapter-select to skip cutscene-heavy chapters where possible.
  3. Skip every Memory and side quest. None affect this trophy.
  4. Sprint everywhere — hold the run modifier (auto in most platforms).
  5. Skip every dialogue with options. Press the skip button immediately on cutscenes once unlocked.
  6. The Slums-to-Sewers section is the longest chapter — practice the Decoder trade route.

Most speedruns land at 1:35–1:50 with no real grinding. You have a 10-minute buffer.

If stuck: if the timer hits 1:50 mid-Midtown, you've already missed it — restart with chapter-select.
