Wolf School Gear — scavenger hunt
The Wolf (Wolven) School Gear set is Witcher 3's signature armor — the Wild Hunt cover set. Added free with the Hearts of Stone DLC. Six diagrams across Kaer Morhen and Velen.
Step 1 — buy the starter map
- Buy the diagram from the Quartermaster at Crow's Perch (Velen, near the Bloody Baron) for ~600 crowns. You can also loot it from a bandit camp west of Crow's Perch if you want it free — the camp has a chest on the watchtower.
The six diagrams
- Steel sword — cave southeast of Kaer Morhen Valley signpost. Cave is guarded by 2 wolves and 1 bear.
- Silver sword — abandoned site northwest of Ancient Crater, in a small lake. Dive on the chest.
- Chest armor — cave west of Ard Carraigh, behind a wooden door (Aard it).
- Gauntlets — same cave as the chest armor. Loot a second chest deeper inside.
- Trousers — abandoned tower at the eastern edge of Kaer Morhen Valley. Climb the ladders.
- Boots — small island in Mizunne Lake, southeast of Ard Carraigh. Drowner-infested.
Crafting
- Take all six diagrams to a journeyman blacksmith and armorer. Costs ~1500 crowns total + monster parts.
- Set bonus appears at the basic tier already (small).
If stuck: if your Aard can't break the cave door, your Aard sign intensity is too low — equip Sign-boost gear or invest in Far-Reaching Aard before trying.
