Queen's Blood — best starter deck
Queen's Blood is the new card minigame. You'll be playing it for trophies, story gates, and unique rewards. The early-game card pool is slim, but a focused enhance-stack deck wins almost every match before Rank 8.
Step 1 — buy boosters in Kalm
First time you hit Kalm, the items vendor sells Queen's Blood booster packs. Buy them all. This is the cheapest deck-building you'll ever do.
The early Wombo combo
All four cards synergize through enhancement effects:
- Cactuar — coverage + buffs the bottom lane by 3. Always play in the top lane.
- Crystalline Crab — coverage + buffs the card directly above by 2. Middle or bottom lane.
- Chocobo & Moogle — comes from the rare-card-lost early-game side quest. First-turn play, middle lane. It keeps gaining power every time you enhance another card.
- Ifrit — buy from Thoren the Collector in Grasslands (post-summon-unlock). 3-cost, but power scales per enhanced ally — the deck's finisher.
- Titan — also from Thoren. 2-cost. Adjacent slots place 2 pawns instead of 1 — solves Ifrit's pawn cost.
Filler (good 2-cost cards)
- Riot Trooper — solid coverage.
- Ogre — solid coverage, 2-cost.
- Security Officer — your starter card. Weak power, great coverage, perfect first-turn play before you have better tools.
Replace cards (mid-game add)
Once replace cards unlock, 3-4 of them in your deck is the rule. They reclaim pawns and trigger destruction effects.
If stuck: if Ifrit's never coming online, you're not enhancing enough. Cactuar + Crystalline Crab + Chocobo & Moogle in the same match enhance each other naturally — make sure all three are in your hand before committing Ifrit.
